Product Description

Product overview

This desktop spot welding system combines a VCM (Voice coil motor) drive for accurate pulse timing, a transistor‑based power stage for clean energy delivery, and a 150 L/min cooling provision to manage thermal accumulation on enamelled wire and small conductors. The compact 220 V design fits benchtop R&D and small production cells. Features include programmable pulse profiles, adjustable electrode force, multi‑pulse modes, optional weld monitoring and quick electrode changeover for high‑mix production.

Problem → Cause → Solution

Problem: Welding enameled wire or fine conductors often causes insulation burn, inconsistent joints or conductor breakage, leading to assembly failures.
Cause: Excessive energy, insufficient cooling, imprecise pulse timing and inconsistent contact force lead to insulation damage and variable weld quality.
Solution: The system uses precise VCM timing and transistor current shaping with controlled electrode force and active 150 L/min cooling to limit peak temperature, protect enamel insulation and produce consistent resistance welds. Validate profiles with sample testing and store recipes for repeatable production.

Applications

  • Enameled wire terminal welding in micro motor, speaker voice coil and sensor assemblies.
  • Fine conductor joining in coil winding, transformer winding and precision electromechanical components.
  • R&D and small‑batch production where benchtop welding with active cooling and traceability is required.

How it works

Recipe selection: load material preset or create a custom profile (current, pulse width, electrode force, pulses).
Electrode contact & force: actuator applies controlled force to ensure consistent contact resistance.
Pulse delivery: VCM timing and transistor power stage deliver shaped pulses per profile.
Cooling & monitoring: 150 L/min cooling reduces peak temperature; optional weld monitoring logs current/voltage traces for QA.

How to choose

Wire gauge & insulation: select pulse energy and electrode tips matched to wire gauge and enamel type; start with manufacturer presets and run sample validation.
Cooling needs: use 150 L/min cooling for continuous runs or higher duty cycles; consider liquid cooling for dense assemblies.
Pulse resolution: choose sub‑ms capable units when welding very fine wires to avoid insulation burn.
Electrode selection: small‑diameter copper tips for fine wires; plated/tungsten tips for high wear.
Traceability: enable weld monitoring if batch documentation and SPC are required.

FAQ

Q: What wire gauges are supported?
A: Typical supported range is AWG 40–18 (≈0.08–1.0 mm) depending on material and electrode; confirm with sample testing.
Q: How does the 150 L/min cooling help?
A: Active cooling lowers peak temperature between pulses and during continuous runs, reducing enamel degradation and improving joint consistency.
Q: Can weld data be logged for traceability?
A: Yes—optional weld monitoring records current/voltage traces and exports batch logs for SPC or MES integration.
