Product Description

Product Overview

This high force piezo jetting valve is built to move very thick fluids reliably for precision electronics assembly. It handles extreme viscosities and gives repeatable droplet placement when strong actuation and stable feed are required. Use this valve when standard dispensers cannot push or control your high-viscosity adhesive, sealant, or gap-filling material.

Problem

Many production lines fail when materials are too thick for the valve, causing missed shots, uneven deposits, or long stops for cleaning. These issues lower yield and increase labor and material waste.

Cause

Thick fluids need larger actuation force and steady feed to form a droplet. Valves with weaker actuation or narrow fluid paths simply cannot move very viscous media consistently. Pressure surges, slow recovery of the meniscus, and nozzle blockage are common outcomes.

Solution

This valve uses a higher force actuator and a widened fluid path to move dense materials up to 1,800,000 cps. It combines strong, timed pulses with recommended inlet pressure and appropriate nozzle sizes to produce stable droplets. Key features:

Reliable droplet formation with very high viscosity fluids
Lower frequency of nozzle clogging and fewer line interruptions
Precise placement suitable for small pads and tight gaps
Easier integration into existing lines with standard mounting

Application

High-viscosity adhesive dots for large pads or deep joints in electronics.
Gap filling and sealing where thick material is required for mechanical support.
Assembly of power modules or components where high bond thickness is needed.
R&D or pilot lines testing new heavy fillers or pastes at production-like speeds.

How It Works

Conclusion: stronger actuator plus a wider fluid path form droplets from thick media. A high-force pulse moves material through the chamber and nozzle; stable inlet pressure and matched nozzle geometry control the droplet size. Warmer process temperature within the material limits and correct pressure help maintain steady flow for heavy pastes.

How To Choose

Conclusion: match valve features to your material viscosity, target drop size, and line speed. Steps:

Provide the fluid viscosity at working temperature and any solids or fillers present.
Choose nozzle diameter to meet the target drop volume; larger nozzles for higher flow.
Confirm required cycle rate; this valve suits moderate throughput where force is needed.
Verify inlet pressure capability of your supply; set pressure to recommended range for stable jetting.
Pick wetted material based on chemical compatibility.
Arrange a sample test with your paste to confirm settings and nozzle life.

FAQ

Q1: Can this valve handle 1,800,000 cps reliably?

A1: Many heavy pastes can be dispensed with this valve when pressure, nozzle, and temperature are adjusted. We recommend a sample test for final confirmation.

Q2: What is the expected nozzle life with filled pastes?

A2: Nozzle lifetime depends on filler hardness and use. Abrasive-filled pastes shorten life; plan spare nozzles and regular inspection.

Q3: What droplet sizes are realistic in production?

A3: Typical stable drops start at around 5 nL; larger drops up to hundreds of nL are straightforward with larger nozzles.

Q4: Do you provide tuning and on-site support?

A4: Yes. Our applications team offers tuning, test runs, and on-site or remote assistance to set drive and pressure parameters.

Q5: How do I request a sample test?

A5: Email market01@mingseal.com with your fluid data sheet, desired droplet size, and process temperature. Include target cycle rate for fastest support.
