Product Description

Product Overview

This piezo jet valve is built for controlled dispensing of thick adhesives and pastes up to 500,000 cps while maintaining repeatable drop size and placement. Supplied with an easy‑to‑mount controller option, the system fits automated lines and bench test setups. Use this valve when you need reliable micro‑drops or short beads with viscous materials and predictable maintenance intervals.

Problem

High‑viscosity adhesives often clog nozzles or produce variable drops, causing rejects and longer line downtime.

Cause

Thick fluids require stronger, well‑timed pulses, matched nozzle size and steady inlet pressure. If drive energy, nozzle geometry or pressure control are not matched to the fluid, shots vary or misfire and cleaning frequency rises.

Solution

This valve pairs a stable piezo drive with a roomy fluid path and nozzle options so you can jet viscous materials consistently. The integrated controller option simplifies setup and tuning on the line or at the bench, reducing trial time and helping you reach steady output faster.

Application

  • PCBA assembly: adhesive dots for component retention and sealing.
  • Small motors and sensors: gap filling and spot bonding with viscous pastes.
  • Connector and flex cable assembly: precise dot placement in tight spaces.
  • Pilot and R&D runs: validate heavy paste handling before scaling up.

How It Works

Conclusion: matched pulse energy and a short fluid path let dense pastes form repeatable droplets. A short piezo pulse creates a pressure pulse that pushes material through the nozzle; pulse width and amplitude set volume while steady inlet pressure maintains the meniscus for repeatable shots. Choose larger nozzles and higher inlet pressure for heavily filled pastes.

How To Choose

Conclusion: select nozzle, controller and settings based on viscosity, target volume and cycle rate. Steps:

  1. Provide your fluid viscosity at working temperature and any solids content.
  2. Start tests with the medium nozzle and adjust pulse width and inlet pressure to find a stable window.
  3. For abrasive or filled pastes choose ceramic or PTFE inserts.
  4. Match required cycle rate to the valve’s jetting frequency and allow tuning margin.
  5. If you plan frequent mounting on a robot arm, request the compact controller option for easier integration.
  6. Request a bench trial if viscosity is near the top range.

FAQ

Q1: Can this valve handle my 500,000 cps paste?
A1: Many dense pastes can be dispensed when nozzle, pressure and pulse are tuned. Please send fluid data for a sample test to confirm.

Q2: What is the smallest stable drop I can achieve?
A2: Typical minimum drops are about 1 nL under tuned conditions; production stability depends on nozzle selection and pressure control.

Q3: Is the controller included?
A3: Controller is an optional packaged item. Specify if you require the controller and driver when ordering; driver recommendations are provided.

Q4: How often will nozzles need cleaning with filled pastes?
A4: Cleaning frequency depends on solids and runtime. Filled pastes require more frequent checks; we recommend spare nozzles and scheduled inspections.

Q5: Do you offer sample testing with my material?
A5: Yes. Send your fluid spec (viscosity at use temp and SDS) and we will run a bench trial and share the results.
